Little Feet Baby Shower
As I mentioned in my last post, I helped my cousins plan a baby shower for their sister-in-law. The gender of baby is unknown. The girls {my cousins} chose Little Feet as the theme of the shower, and the colors they chose were Green & Brown {reminds me of my toy closet.
They wanted to include the song "Oh, be careful little feet where you go..."
So with those details in mind I came up with these little details:
Remember my ornament filled jars post?
Well after a thorough washing, we used the jars to display food!
I've used these jars over and over again - for so many different things.
I just LOVE these things! Don't you?
I Love . Love . Love. Tags, so I made some for the jars.
Look at that cute little scooper. My cousin found them at the dollar store.
I tied some ribbon around them & hung them from the tops of the jars.
They were perfect!
We made these cute little tissue paper pom-poms for decorations!
We hung them from the ceiling above the cake table, and above the guest of honors chair.
They are super easy to make & very affordable! Learn how to make them here.
The letters were cut with my cricut!
I tied some ribbon around the socks, and clipped them onto the branches with mini clothespins.
... and...
:)
We displayed some thank you envelopes for the parents-to-be . . .
Asking all the guests to write their address on the envelope, so when the new parents
write out their thank you cards, they don't have to hunt down the addresses.
This little tree was the guest book.
Everyone stamped their thumb in the green or brown ink & made a "leaf",
and signed their name on top of their print.
My cuz, suggested this {she had seen this done before} and I thought it was adorable!!
So with my handy cricut, we cut the tree & glued it to some scrapbook paper.
of course, we needed to have something explaining what to do here, so . . .
. . . my very musically talented, other cousin, wrote a poem!
She is
SO
talented in music! She
SO
should be famous!!! For real, that girl can sing! and she writes her own music & plays like a gazillion instruments! haha, I am a FAN! can you tell? When she sings, you get goosebumps! She is
THAT GOOD
! So she was the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. person for the job of coming up with the poem for the guest book tree. It turned out great! Don't ya think?
Her older sis is great at sewing! So I had suggested that she make a headband {for the baby, if it's a girl}
out of the brown and green polka dot ribbon. It turned out so cute!! and we draped it over the framed quote "oh, be careful little feet where you go.."
but ... I totally forgot to get a photo. Believe me tho - the headband was ADORABLE!
:)
and then there were the favors...
displayed in glass jars! {notice the little feet confetti? those were cut with my EK Success Paper Puncher
:)
Here is a closer up of the thank you favors:
They're bags of yummy jelly beans.
The shapes are cut with my Fiskars squeeze punchers and we stamped the "Thanks" on with brown ink, and touched the edges of the white paper with the brown ink pad.
Here is a list of the items my cousins purchased to create this look:
white & green paper: Walmart
all the ribbon: Walmart
party favor bags: Walmart
food scooper & tissue paper: Dollar Store
pretzels, malt balls and jelly beans: Winco
I totally & completely LOVE party planning! Who else loves it? Do you?
