Desk Makeover and a New Rug
This past summer I got this great executive desk from a company selling some furniture pieces. It was just an oak desk & I planned on painting it. It took me some time to actually tackle the job, but since my goal is to be finished with my craft room, I finally whipped out the old paint brush {not really, I bought new black paint & I used a roller} and it makes such a difference in my craft room!
I LOVE it!
This is what it looked like before:
I like the NEW desk much better, don't you?
and speaking of
new

. . .this gorgeous rug is new too. A few months back, I designed a logo for a church. I was so excited to have a little extra cash and decided that I would spoil myself with a rug for this room. I've been dreaming of a new rug for like FOREVER! Maybe 70 years or so... ;) {totally kidding... I'm not that old.} I was thrilled when I saw this baby at Costco. It's a 7.5ft. x 10ft. Indoor/Outdoor Rug at a GREAT price! Isn't it pretty?
Check out the before & after side by sides of this desk re-do:
I actually started painting the desk an off white color, changed my mind in the middle of it and chose to go with black instead, so I started over. Paint is so great like that! if you don't like it, you can simply paint over it. I used Farmhouse Paint.
I'm excited about my desk, excited about the fact that my craft room is almost complete & excited to share with you, the best blogging friends ever, my completed craft room. So stay tuned, the reveal is soon to come.
